If I were to say I think there's a bit much stuff on the sidebar, would I get lynched? I mean, some of the things appear not even to entirely exist, requests for undeletion seems pretty natural to just go to requests for deletion and then follow a link there to undeletion... that kind of thing. So... yeah. *shifty eyes*

Do I get lynched now? ~ Pointy.png 19:51, 25 September 2011

There is indeed a lot on the sidebar now. I got to remove some stuff too... only with CSS instead of javascript. Roye7777777 ~ Talk 20:05, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
Well, I just made my sidebar collapsible a la wikimedia, which also helped... but the entire thing really looks like it could just use a cleanup. >.< ~ Pointy.png 20:41, 25 September 2011
I see a double thing in it, a useless thing, and some things that should'nt be there. Lets take a look. Roye7777777 ~ Talk 20:46, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
Maybe I will take a look at it tomorrow. Got it busy. After all it doesn't look that worse at all, except for Embassies and Ambassadors that seems to be redirecting to the same page. Maybe it should be collapsing for some points, but that's for another day. Roye7777777 ~ Talk 20:56, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
Shiny, thanks. If you lot do want to make it collapsible, just let me know and I'll make the script less self-centered for ye. ~ Pointy.png 21:11, 25 September 2011
I know it's currently a messy sidebar. I will take a look at this when I'm home | 07:34, 26 September 2011 (UTC)

How much there was and is and where isn't all that's messy, though - using special characters on the sidebar is usually something to be avoided, since it yields ids like 'n-E-m.40il-UnMet.40' and 'n-List-of-Uncyclop.C3.A6dias' - unusable by css and js alike. That can be gotten around by setting an alias in the mediawiki sidebar and then setting the display in the appropriate page, but in the case of the latter, why is it 'Uncyclopædias' at all? The english ones are spelled 'Uncyclopedia', and thus the plural would also be 'Uncyclopedias' in english, and most of the other ones use completely different names appropriate to the language, not variations on that... it may look fancy, but it doesn't make sense, and keeping things simple is a lot more effective than fancy.

Also, there's no point including an UnMeta link in the Uncyclomedia foundation thing when we're already here and that's the entire wiki - it's more likely to confuse than do anything useful, since it also doesn't do anything (say, appear in bold) to indicate that that's where we are. ~ Pointy.png 04:41, 29 September 2011
