Why did you resign/leave UnclePat? I'm interested because I was permabanned there for my opinion about Wikia/their Uncyclomedia ignorance and the attitude of some admins | CartoonistHenning (talk) 20:00, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

I de-sysoped myself after arguing with several of the senior admins for four days, trying to explain what was wrong with the management of the site. Specifically, the place no longer operates by any common sense. Rules and regulations are either dogmatically enforced or completely ignored depending on the players involved in a given situation. Plus, the rules themselves vary from week to week depending on the outcomes of whatever stupid votes are being held on the Forum. The culture of whoring and asshattery has taken over, with some of the admins being the biggest dicks on the site. It was a shame to be associated with it, and so I declined any further association. The fact that Wikia is involved was really just icing on the urinal cake. ~ The Bard (talk) 02:20, 7 September 2011 (UTC)

I just checked (of idle curiosity) and an IPv4 address which I haven't had for nearly four years now is still blocked over there, no explanation beyond a sarcastic "I'll miss you the most :(" (and the IP's user: and user_talk: pages inexplicably deleted) by a sysop who last edited Uncle Pete two months ago. Sadly, this is typical for them... if you are "just a number" they will ban you for a few dozen years because they think it's funny if you crawl into IRC to complain about it. I don't have the address anymore and don't care but am sure it will still be there long after the site ever gets around to switching to IPv6. UN:CVP is or was just as much of a joke - if a page was ever deleted, prevent the title from ever being used again for a legit article? Unless it's the name of a non-notable person, this often is uncalled for yet long outlived its usefulness. I was very active on the site before User:Chronarion sold the domain name to Wikia in 2006 but haven't looked around there in ages. --Carlb (talk) 04:34, 7 September 2011 (UTC)

I miss the 2005-06 golden era. I guess it just took me a few more kicks to the head to accept that they aren't coming back. ~ The Bard (talk) 23:33, 7 September 2011 (UTC)
Me too, when men were men and sheep were nervous... ah the good old days. 24.61.112.73 00:59, 9 September 2011 (UTC)
